Jojoba oil
Last, but certainly not least on our ingredient spotlight is Jojoba oil. The jojoba plant produces a nut that contains a wide variety of natural healing properties, which we transform into oil and add to our Nourishing Facial Oil. What are the benefits of jojoba oil?
Jojoba oil helps to protect your skin’s natural barrier against the harsh elements. In turn, it helps lock in moisture so your skin stays hydrated and rejuvenated.
It contains antimicrobial and antifungal properties, which kills certain bacteria and fungi that can be harmful to you and your skin
It contains Vitamin E. As you read above, Vitamin E produces a wide variety of benefits for the skin:
- Helps with wound healing
- Its antioxidant properties reduce the look of ageing skin
- Boost circulation
- Helps repair scarred and blemished skin
- Prevents moisture loss, keeping your skin nourished and hydrated
- Cleanses pores
- Balances oil production
The chemical compound of jojoba oil is incredibly similar to that of the natural sebum produced by your skin. This means jojoba oil is less likely to get clogged in your pores reducing your chances for acne and breakouts. It also helps balance your body’s natural sebum production.
The antioxidant properties in jojoba oil may help with collagen production of the skin. Collagen production helps reduce the look of ageing by improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and the skin’s elasticity.
