 Shampoo Bars

How are your shampoo bars different from the others on the market?
Our shampoo bars lather up to create a gorgeous sulphate-free foam. They deeply cleanse your hair and scalp without drying or stripping your hair because we only use the best high-performing plant-based ingredients. Our shampoo bar is so nourishing that you won't even need conditioner if your hair is on the oilier side. We could tell you all of the other reasons why our shampoo bars are bestsellers, but to truly experience the OMG! shampoo bar difference, you have to try it for yourself.
How do you create sulphate-free foam?
The group of ingredients that provide cleansing is called surfactants. There are a huge number of surfactants out there, but sulphates are the most well-known because they're cheap, readily available and easy to use in formulations. They are ok to use, but if you have dry, flaky, sensitive skin or color your hair, the sulphates make things worse as they strip everything. There are other surfactants that are more eco-friendly, gentle on hair and skin, and safe for color. They are much more expensive than sulphates and harder to work with, but our hair and skin deserve the best that's why we use these alternatives in our bars.
What hair type are shampoo bars good for?
Our bars are great for all hair types. If your hair is oily, not colored, or super short then you don't need to use conditioner with our bars or you can use conditioner for the ends only. For other hair types, conditioner provides a needed hydration boost.
What ingredients are in your bars?
In liquid shampoos, water makes up about 70-80% of the formula, whereas our shampoo bars don't have water. They're made from natural ingredients, including super gentle/mild surfactants derived from coconut oil (sodium cocoyl isethionate and coco betaine). For hydration and nourishment, the bars have butters, oils and proteins in high concentrations that make a real difference for hair (conventional shampoo may have some of these ingredients at under 1%).
What if my hair is color-treated and damaged?
Then our bar is perfect for you! Not only is it safe for color-treated hair as it doesn't strip your hair as any sulphate-based shampoo does, but it also nourishes your hair and helps to restore the health of your hair. Of course, there is a limit of what can be done for bleached hair, but it does provide deep nourishment to make it healthier.
How do I store them?
Store it in a dry place in between uses.
Are the scents natural?
Our scents are 100% natural (we use essential oils as our natural scents and we never use artificial fragrance).
Can my whole family use this, including kids?
Yes! In fact, our bars are perfect for kids because of their truly natural and safe ingredients. Please take a look at the ingredients lists of many conventional shampoos, even the ones marketed for kids, and you will be shocked with the number of questionable ingredients in them. Play it safe with our bars. Be aware that kids love playing with our bars in the bath and that can reduce the life of the bars 😉
Is your packaging sustainable?
Our bars come in cardboard packaging that's easy to recycle.

Facial Oils

How do I know which facial oil is right for my skin?

We have two incredible facial oil blends, and both of them are designed to repair and restore the skin barrier while also providing a healthy dose of antioxidants and vitamins.

The Nourishing Facial Oil will help repair the skin barrier, relieve dryness and calm irritated skin while providing deep nourishment with fatty acids,

The Balancing Facial Oil helps balance sebum production for oily and combination skin, making skin less oily through scientifically proven ingredients. It also calms inflammation with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

How are your oils different from others on the market?
While plant oils are jam-packed with beneficial components, not every plant oil is good for facial skin. Some can clog pores, leave a greasy feeling or don't absorb well.

OMG! Oils are designed to nourish and soothe the skin, help restore skin's elasticity, protect the skin by improving barrier function and reducing transepidermal water loss (fancy language for dehydration). Plus, they moisturize and combat dullness leaving the skin looking glowy and radiant.

What are the benefits of using the Nourishing Facial Oil on your skin?
Our Nourishing Facial Oil is a perfect blend of oils rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids including linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid, phytonutrients and vitamins. These ingredients are non-comedogenic, lightweight and penetrate the skin quickly.
What if my skin is already too oily?
Balancing the skin sebum (oil) production starts with ensuring that water is not excessively leaving the skin due to a damaged skin barrier. Stress, harsh chemicals in skincare (especially those in cleansing products), and changes in the weather can all damage our skin barrier. As a response, skin starts producing extra oil to compensate for the moisture loss, which leads to oily skin. It sounds counterintuitive, but the best solution for this is an amazing plant-based facial oil. Plant oils form a breathable occlusive layer that stops water from evaporating. It also gradually restores the skin barrier and calms irritations. The skin stops losing moisture, and the sebum production naturally regulates. The key is to use oils that are not too heavy or comedogenic and those that contain essential fatty acids. Our Balancing Facial Oil is designed for normal and oily skin types and works by restoring the skin barrier, protecting and nourishing the skin, balancing sebum production, and helping to make pores less visible.
How do I use your oils?
After washing your beautiful face with a gentle cleanser, apply a few drops all over your face daily or as often needed. Our incredible oils can double as makeup primers.
