Shampoo bars are an amazing way to reduce plastic waste. However, be aware of the soaps that are advertised as shampoo bars. What’s the difference? The soap is made through the process of saponification when oil is combined with a base (sodium hydroxide or lye). The soap has a high pH level (usually 9 or higher), which is not suitable for the hair or scalp. A pH-balanced shampoo, on the other hand, should be formulated with mild detergents and have a pH level of 6.5 at maximum.

My family and I are so very happy with the Oh My Garden shampoo and conditioner bars :). It is so nice to not be using the plastic bottles and our hair is so soft clean. We really even live the scent ( hoping for some lavender or flower scents in the future ;). Thank you SO much . I don’t see us switching from Oh My Garden any time soon !
I started switching away from grocery store shampoo a few years ago when my hair started falling out. I've since tried many brands, but Oh My Garden! shampoo is the only one that makes my hair neither dry nor greasy. I've lived in both Alberta, where it's super dry, and Nova Scotia, where it's very humid, and my hair still feels great. And the conditioner bar just lasts forever. I love that all the packaging is paper and there is zero plastic involved.
